Episode 51 Spoiler Alert: Everything Is Going To Be OK. Words from Windward

Spoiler Alert: Everything IS Going to be OK. Yes, it’s true.

Your child IS going to get into college.

Yes, she will find her way. Yes, he will find his passion.

No, the journey will not always be perfect, but YES, it will all work out.

Today’s guest, Molly Branch was valedictorian from her all girl’s high school. She turned down Georgetown to attend USC and graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor degree in Journalism and English Literature.

As one of 5 children, Molly learned early that every child is different and each has their own path.  And as a result, today Molly’s philosophy to her students and her children is this: no need to pressed or pressured, because in the end, it will all work out.

If you encourage your child to do what she/he loves, this show is for you.

If you have a B student in your household, this show is for you.

If you choose to listen more than advise your teen, this show is for you.

Today’s lesson: YOU DO YOU And All Will Be OK.

Guest Bio:

Molly Branch began her career at Windward in 1993 as an English teacher and Journalism advisor. Molly transitioned into her current role as Dean of College Counseling in 2001.

Born and raised in Pacific Palisades, Molly graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from USC, receiving her B.A. in Journalism and English Literature. Following this, she embarked on a career in entertainment public relations, where she earned an industry PRISM award for her work with a prominent special effects company.

Molly’s true calling, however, was in education, so she returned to school, earning an M.Ed. and multi-subject and single-subject teaching credentials from her cross-town rival, UCLA. She is a current member of both the Western and National Associations of College Admission Counselors.

The mother of two daughters and one son, Molly spends much of her time away from Windward rooting them on at their numerous soccer, lacrosse, baseball and basketball games.
